Air & Space Museum
The
Intrepid Aircraft Carrier
You have to
see an aircraft carrier to appreciate how big they are. Walk the
flight deck of the 900 foot-long aircraft carrier Intrepid and you'll
see what I mean. Floating cities is a description that fits pretty
well.
The new Intrepid
Museum does spectacular well with its interactive exhibits and has
virtually ensured its multi-sensory technology will inform and entertain.
With a total of 30 restored aircraft to examine, the former USS
Growler submarine to explore and the British Airways Concorde to
zoom over the Intrepid Museum is a mega boys toy store.
see hundreds
of exhibits on aviation, deep sea and space exploration, board the
world's fastest passenger jet-Concorde, and see dozens of vintage
and modern aircrafts parked wing to wing on the flight deck. Experience
all this at the Intrepid Museum and more!
37 (105) Manhattan
Greenway Bike Path

The Manhattan
Waterfront Greenway is a 32-mile long walking and bicycling path
through the Hudson River Park, Battery Park, Brooklyn Bridge Park,
and Central Park. Hence its name. The views are fantastic.
Much of the
Greenway is kept away from traffic. Out of necessity you will have
to negotiate some traffic but only for relatively short distances.
Most of the rules about using New York's Greenways are pretty obvious.
One you might miss is locking your bicycle to a tree. Don't. It
is harmful to the tree. It is also potentially damaging to you finances.
It could cost you a $1,000 fine.
The
New York Pass grants you a free half-day bike rental
(up to four hours).

You
are greeted by lions named Patience and Fortitude on Fifth Avenue
on the outside. And spoilt by a massive and beautiful interior inside.

classics, both inside and out. There are also free art exhibits
shown inside. For researchers, the library is a gold mine. Its many
halls contain countless volumes, periodicals and a large staff to
help you through it all.
Explore
as many of the rooms as you can and you will see some really old
paintings and a very old bible.

It
would be easy to wax lyrical about Madame Tussauds is there are
so many famous people to see and you can say whatever you like to
them. The Superman flying experience is uplifting and gives you
the chance make a video/CD fly around NYC for a while.
Conveniently

from the worlds of film, TV, history, politics, music and sports
all lined up for your inspection. A good thing to do if the weather
is not up to doing much. Figures are very life like and it doesn't
take forever to see it all. It is simple fun. Don't forget your
